Celebrities Play Bingo
The bingo halls and
online bingo sites are full of ordinary folks who like to have fun, make friends, and try to win money playing bingo. But more and more rich and famous celebrities are also catching the craze and discovering the joy of bingo. Here's a look at a few of them.
William and Williams Play Bingo
Prince William enjoyed playing bingo at a local bingo club while he was training at the Sandhurst military academy. The future king of England, accompanied by about ten of his mates, went to a bingo club in nearby Reading and enrolled as a new member under the name "William Harry." He paid 5 pounds for a book of
bingo cards and played along with the regular bingo players, but he didn't win anything.
Of course, it didn't take long for the club regulars to realize who was
playing bingo in their midst, and the Prince readily acknowledged his true identity. One of the folks at the
bingo hall said, "He was very friendly, talking and joking with people. When someone asked him to sign the back of their bingo card he borrowed a pen from the girl behind the bar and signed a couple of cards."
British pop star
Robbie Williams is a member of the UK Music Hall of Fame. He entered the Guinness Book of World Records by selling more than 1.6 million concert tickets in one day. He also entered a charity bingo tournament in Hollywood. In fact, he not only entered the bingo tournament, he won it! As the first to hit Bingo, Robbie won a designer leopard-skin handbag. And it was for a good cause, too. All proceeds from the bingo tournament went to breast cancer research.
Sharon and Catherine Love Bingo Too
Sharon Osbourne is the wife of Ozzy Osbourne and the co-star of The Osbournes — on TV and in real life (and in The Osbournes online slots game too). Along with everything else in her busy life, she is also a celebrity spokesperson for
online bingo. While she might not seem like an obvious choice to be a representative of online bingo, her glamour and vivacious personality actually make her a perfect fit for the position. Sharon is quite serious about online bingo, and is fulfilling her responsibilities admirably.
Academy-award winning actress
Catherine Zeta-Jones is a true bingo lover. She was organizing bingo parties when she was a small child, and she still throws a bingo party every Christmas for her friends and family. In addition to that, she volunteers as a celebrity bingo caller at charity bingo events to raise money for worthy causes. Catherine is a great role model and a worthy representative of the
game of bingo.
Everybody Loves Playing Bingo
It all goes to show, bingo is truly a game for everybody. Whether you're rich and famous, or not-so-rich and not-so-famous, you're sure to have a great time playing bingo!
